Guests were welcomed with glasses of sparkling wine as they stepped into the sales arena, a space traditionally reserved for horse auctions, transformed for the Melbourne Cup into a setting where elegance and history intertwined. Floral arrangements and decorations inspired by the Pantone colour of the year, Peach Fuzz, brought the space to life, blending sophistication, luxury and rustic charm.
A gourmet menu featured a range of tantalising options for guests to enjoy throughout the event. From freshly prepared seafood and vibrant antipasto platers to expertly crafted carvery and live pasta stations, the selection offered something for every palate. The hotel’s partnership with Pommery Champagne further elevated this culinary journey, complimenting the food perfectly for a truly indulgent dining experience.
Throughout the event, the MC kept the event engaging, guiding guests through a day filled entertainment. A live DJ set the tone, creating a lively environment and harmonising with the Fashion on the Fields where guests had the chance to flaunt their stunning race-day outfits and win special prizes. Lucky door prizes and Melbourne Cup sweeps added to the excitement and tradition of the historic race, giving guests a chance to win and be part of the thrill.
