Uniting to Make a Difference
Pink October is a month dedicated to raising awareness for breast cancer and supporting those who are affected by it. Throughout the month, we come together to share stories, encourage conversations about health, spread hope and make a meaningful impact in the fight against breast cancer.
The William Inglis Hotel recently hosted a special Pink October Charity Luncheon event, bringing together the community to support and raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The event was filled with passion, inspiring moments and meaningful conversations.
Guests were welcomed with a selection of canapés and the hotel’s signature Balmaretto Flame cocktail, adding elegance to the start of the event. The Big Barn’s rustic style, combined with the pink theme and styling, created a beautiful and inviting atmosphere for the event.
Inspiring Talks
Hosted by former Olympian Sarah Ryan, the charity event featured inspiring and passionate talks from Michelle Payne OAM and Debbie Kepitis. The event was filled with stories that resonated with everyone, reminding us of the importance of breast cancer awareness, early detection, and the power of support. The hotel’s general Manager Belinda Thomson reinforced the importance of collective efforts and how we can make a difference and support the cause.
A Vital Cause
Ticket sale proceeds were donated toward the McGrath foundation, a vital organisation that is dedicated to raising awareness and providing support for individuals and families affected by breast cancer. The organisation funds McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia to ensure no one faces breast cancer alone. From diagnosis right throughout treatment, these nurses offer medical expertise, clinical care and psychological support, for free.
Our Pink October Event was a celebration of strength, and a powerful reminder that we can create a lasting positive impact within the community. We thank everyone that attended and helped make the event special. Together we raised awareness, built connections, and supported a vital cause.
We look forward to continuing our support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
